Smithsonian Learning Lab / National Museum of the American Indian

Join a team of Smithsonian museum educators at the National Museum of the American Indian for a demonstration of the Smithsonian Learning Lab, an online collection of over two million images, recordings and texts from the Smithsonian's vast holdings. Developed by the Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access, the Learning Lab allows educators to build personal collections for their own use and to share with others across the globe. It encourages the use of Thinking Routines from Project Zero as a way to look closely and delve deeply. We will also learn about exciting offerings from that National Museum of the American Indian including Native Knowledge 360°, a new national initiative to inspire and promote improvement of teaching and learning about American Indians. RSVP link to be sent through the DC-PZ mailing list in mid-February.
