DC-PZ at National Building Museum's EVICTED Exhibit

With unique design elements and striking graphics, the Evicted exhibition at the National Building Museum challenges visitors to face the enormity of the American eviction crisis, while providing context and a call to action. Join educators to participate in slow looking activities, thinking routines and discussions in the exhibition. Discussions will model strategies for addressing the content and resources of the exhibition in the classroom.

The group will meet in the Great Hall by the fountain at 4:30 PM.

Then, any interested participant is welcome to stay for a public talk: Mapping Eviction from 6:30-8:30pm. Research specialists from The Eviction Lab at Princeton University will present data on national eviction rates, and then discuss with exhibition curator Sarah Leavitt how this data can be used in developing solutions.

When registering, please indicate whether you will stay to attend the talk.

Exhibition content is appropriate for middle school students and up, but teachers of students of any age are welcome to attend. This event will be restricted to 25 participants due to the size of the galleries.
