DC Project Zero

A network of over 2,400 local educators, is committed to nurturing deep thinking and understanding. We offer a free workshop series throughout the academic year.

DC Project Zero (DCPZ) is a network of educators in the DMV region who are using Project Zero ideas in practice. Begun in 2012 at the Project Zero Classroom summer institute at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, DCPZ has organized a free workshop series for educators throughout the school year ever since. We have grown from a core group of 40 educators who attended that 2012 summer institute to over 2,300 at present.

We organize between 8-14 events per year on a wide variety of topics, such as close looking at works of art and objects in museums, culturally responsive teaching, documentation of student thinking, and explorations of identity and representation.
