DCPZ Educators Workshop with the National Postal Museum: Exploring Stamps and National Identity
February 3 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm EST
![An airplane, truck, and motorized scooter are featured in front of a globe, alongside envelopes and packages.](https://www.pdcollaborative.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/The-Tiniest-Diplomat_TitleImage.jpg)
Using examples from the National Postal Museum’s national and international stamp collections, teachers will examine objects that offer exploration into national identity through a postal lens. In doing so, participants will learn ways in which the smallest of objects can reveal deeper layers, complex concepts, and often unexpected connections to curriculum. Through a combination of guided inquiry, self-exploration, and group reflection, educators will leave with a broader understanding of how to use NPM and Smithsonian resources alongside Project Zero thinking routines to enhance teaching and learning in their classrooms.
This is an IN-PERSON event. Coffee and light breakfast snacks will be provided upon arrival.
