National Park Service-DCPZ Workshop: The Lincoln Memorial at 100

What do we really see when we look at memorials? How well do they represent the person or event they’re honoring as opposed to reflecting the times in which they were built? What do they mean to us today? Join National Park Service rangers from the National Mall and Memorial Parks to explore the history of the Lincoln Memorial in its 101st year and how its meaning has evolved over time.  Discover and share ways to include these stories and ideas in your curriculum.
This event will be outdoors, rain or shine, and will involve walking up to a mile. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
